Having worked for clients all over Europe - co-heading a renowned Competence Center in the energy field for a global consultancy - Ron Scheucher established Mainland Economic Consultants in late 2002.
Experience Educated in the U.S.A. and Austria, the economist has long-term experience in industry and politics. For Verbund, one of Europe's largest power companies, Ron Scheucher was involved in the internationalisation of the company. Holding a key position in strategic marketing, he again was responsible for sales controlling in the most dramatic years of early liberalisation of the energy business.
Before his engagement with Verbund Ron Scheucher worked as Assistant to the Head of the Finance Committee of the Republic of Austria (Austrian Parliament).
Publications Mag. Scheucher is author of numerous articles on topics concerning management and economics. He is editor of the books "Re-Engineering of Austrian Economic Policy" (ZUK: Vienna, 1998) and "Handbook of the Austrian Energy Sector" (Manz: Vienna, 2004), and co-author of "The Great Compendium of Strategy Instruments" (Campus: Frankfurt - New York, 2002).
Ron Scheucher is a university lecturer (Vienna University of Economics & Business Administration, Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, Lauder Business School) and a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars.
